In commemoration of the April Blue Month and FESKOM ViRAL 2018, the class of MMC110 2D joins in the crew with “Light It Up Blue Carnival”- an autism awareness campaign which aims to educate the audiences on autism spectrum disorder (ASD) as well as collecting funds for National Autism Society of Malaysia (NASOM).
The campaign, which aimed to nurture love for children with autism and improve the public’s perception and interaction with those who are autistic, raised a total of RM3104.00 throughout the campaign period of two weeks prior to FESKOM ViRAL 2018.
The carnival was also made significant with the representatives from NASOM Melaka. They set up a booth that sells products made by the autistic kids in their school as well as providing a brief information about autism like the initial steps to identify an autistic child and ways to reach out for them.
Later, a campaign fund’s presentation ceremony was held at Rumah Bistari, Bukit Peringgit Melaka.
The members of MMC110 2D really pulled off the campaign within a short period of time. They also gained a lot of new knowledge and experiences throughout conducting the carnival. Along with the cry “Light It Up Blue”, they sure have light up this year’s FESKOM ViRAL 2018.
